JJ JOHNS NEWSThe year 2002, with over 70 show's in both his homelands,has been very succesfull for Dutch/Belgium country singer JJ Johns. This succes was for a great deal due to the launching of his first CD "Nothin' Wrong With Me" the year before. The CD, produced by Scott Mathews, was recorded at the EX'PRESSION Studio's in Emmeryville California and got very good reviews in all the country-magazines. Two songs from the CD were released on Country HotDisc and reached high rankings in the World Wide Mainstream Most Played Artists Chart. With the titeltrack of the CD JJ Johns appeared 4 times on Dutch TV and several times on Maltese TV. Resulting in a performance for the "Country Music Appreciation Society Malta" where he was proclaimed "Honorary Member" of this Society. JJ Johns now joins other "Honorary Members" such as: The Statler Brothers, Ronnie Milsap, Buck Owens and Ernie Ashworth. Several songs from the CD "Nothin' Wrong With Me" appeared on sampler CD's and together with friend and partner-in-arms Nick McAlley there was the cajun duet Boulevard Of Love on Nick's CD. Then on "Country HotDisk" and "Western Heart Promotions" JJ together with Ernie Ashworth did a duet version of "Hold Up In Some Honky Tonk" another song from the "Nothin' Wrong" CD. This duet reached a # 26 position in the World Wide Mainstream Most Played Artists Chart. ![]() |
